Getting past the cycle

When everything starts to become routinary, how would you know that you’re still on the right track? How will you know that you’re following that routine because you want to and not just because you’ve gotten so used to doing it? And most importantly, how will you be sure that all that you’re doing in the routine will eventually add up to something substantial in the future?

Oh, just these random questions in my head. Forgive me. Will come up with a more decent and cohesive entry next time.
